Stephen Ames
Stephen is an Anglican priest based in Melbourne, committed to orthodox Christian theology and the regular recitation of the Nicene Creed. His academic and pastoral focus centers on articulating a theological account of the world, engaging both contemporary narratives and the concept of the "divine economy"—a framework extending from creation to consummation, understood as a telos rather than a terminus. Drawing on Pauline theology, he explores the divine economy as a mystery long hidden in God but revealed in Christ. His work involves critically examining the resonances and dissonances between theological and secular worldviews, seeking to affirm and expand points of alignment while addressing areas of divergence. Through public discourse, he fosters dialogue at the intersection of theology, philosophy, and contemporary thought.
