Simon’s thoughts on writing …

The great American writer Joan Didion once said, ‘I write entirely to find out what I’m thinking, what I’m looking at, what I see and what it means; what I want and what I fear.’ There are few words that resonate as deeply for me as these. Over the years the discipline of writing has become essential to my own faith, a way of being and understanding that I cannot do without. The fact that some of these words are now in print and might be helpful to others is an added bonus.
