All returns, including any credits applied for return shipping charges, will be credited to the credit card used in the purchase. We will make every effort to process returned items within 7-10 business days. Please note that it may take 1-2 billing cycles for your bank to post the credit to your statement.

All personal information submitted to us is kept in the strictest confidence. The information is only used to process orders from Acorn. This information will not be released to anyone other than those necessary to fulfil your order. We do not rent or sell your name, address, credit card information or personal information to any third party.

If you would like to increase or decrease the number of any item that’s in your basket, please change the number in the ‘Quantity’ box, and click ‘Update Quantity’.

To remove an item from your basket, please click the ‘Remove’ button in the item’s details in your basket. To remove all the items from your basket click on the remove button for each item.

If you have items in your basket and would like to add more, simply search or navigate from the top menu and continue shopping! If you find additional items to purchase, simply add them to your basket by clicking on the ‘Add to Cart button’.

When you find an item that you wish to purchase, please click the ‘Add to cart’ button to the right-hand side of the item’s title, and it will be added to your shopping basket. Please see below for information about adding more items to your basket, deleting items from your basket, and changing the quantities of items in your basket.

When you’re ready to make your purchase, please click the ‘Check out’ button from your basket, and you will be led through the checkout process. You’ll be asked to enter this information:

  • Your Details
  • Delivery Details (you can have your order sent to someone other than yourself)
  • Delivery Method (you can enter special instructions for the delivery if you need to)
  • Payment Method

When you’ve entered this information, your order details will be displayed and you will be asked to confirm those details before your order is submitted to us. You can change any details at this point if you need to.

When you’re ready to place your order, simply click ‘Complete Purchase’ and you will be presented with a page displaying your order number. You’ll also receive an email with all your order details listed.

At present, orders placed online with Acorn may not be collected.

The processing of orders for Acorn Press titles takes place twice a week, usually on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Local orders (that is, within Australia), should be received within one week of the processing. The exception is copies of books ordered before the title’s official publication date (which is usually the launch date). In this case, the orders will be posted the week following the launch.

International orders take longer for delivery, depending on the shipping option chosen. Airmail orders may take as little as a week to arrive, but they may also take longer due to factors outside Acorn’s control. While the shipping charge for seamail orders is cheaper than airmail, these orders take significantly longer to arrive and Acorn has no way of guaranteeing delivery by a set date.

We accept Visa and MasterCard only. Credit cards are handled by our secure server and charged the next business day after the order is filled. Payment can be made by cheque or money order which should be made payable to: Acorn Press Ltd

We will not despatch any orders until funds have been cleared.

We do not currently accept purchase orders since all orders must be pre-paid. If you are a bookshop or organisational customer, please contact us to make special arrangements.

If necessary, you may cancel all or part of your order, provided you contact us before you receive the email notification that your order has been dispatched. Please email ……………… or call us on 03…………. and include your Online order number.

You can pay by any of the following methods

Credit Cards
We accept payment with these credit cards: MasterCard & Visa.
We do not charge your credit card until your order is ready to be sent to you, and we automatically delete your credit card details when your order is complete.

Money Orders
We accept payment by money orders. After you place your order, we will email you the address to which you should post your money order, and the correct order value. When you post your money order to us, please write your Online order number and your name on the back of the slip. Please do not send your money order to us until you have received advice from us regarding the correct address and value.

Cheques
We accept payment by cheque. International customers wishing to pay by cheque must draw a bank draft payable in Australian dollars. The bank draft must be drawn on a bank that has a reciprocal agreement with an Australian bank. After you place your order, we will email you the correct order value. Please do not send your cheque to us until you have received advice from us regarding the correct address and value. Cheques should be made out to Acorn Press Ltd. Please write your Online order number and your name on the back of the cheque. Please note that all payments are to be made in Australian dollars.
