Jeremiah: A Prophet of Surprises

Robin Payne

God’s call to service took the prophet Jeremiah by surprise, and some of his responses to God and his calling seem strange to us. His ministry took place at a time of crisis for God’s people. The message God gave him to speak was unexpected. Jeremiah’s book helps us to understand more of the amazing God who is involved in our lives. Our God, whom we encourter in the pages of the book of Jeremiah, always surpises us, no more than when God comes to meet us in the Lord Jesus Christ. Jeremiah, the Old Testament prophet leads us to God, whose depths we can never fathom.

This book is designed for personal reading or for use in discussion groups.
