Bernie Power

Bernie Power has been studying Islam and interacting with Muslims for over 40 years. He has degrees in Science, Arts and Theology, and his doctorate compared the Hadith, the early traditions about Muhammad, with biblical teaching.

 

Justine Toh

Justine Toh is Senior Fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity, where she speaks and writes about the Christian faith in publications like ‘The Sydney Morning Herald’, ‘The Canberra Times’, ‘The Spectator’, and ABC ‘Religion & Ethics’.

 

Mark Stephens

Dr Mark Stephens is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity (CPX). He has a PhD in Ancient History from Macquarie University, and a Masters in Divinity from the Australian College of Theology.

 

Naomi Reed

Naomi Reed, an Australian author and speaker, spent 13 years as a missionary in Nepal. She wrote My Seventh Monsoon and other books about faith during hardship. Now, she shares others' faith stories, offering hope and resilience through her writing and speaking.

 

Natasha Moore

Natasha Moore is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Public Christianity (CPX). She is also the award-winning author, along with John Dickson, Simon Smart and Justine Toh of For The Love of God, which won the 2020 Australian Christian Book of the Year.

 

Nick Hawkes

Dr Nick Hawkes has two degrees in science and two in theology, and he has written books on both topics. His book The Bible on the Key Issues of Life won the Selah Award for its category in the United States in 2014.

 

Rachel Herweynen

Rachel Herweynen shares her experience of being adopted into the local Yolnu culture when she took up a teaching position at one of Australia's most remote schools (Gawa Christian School) on Elcho Island in the Northern Territory.

 

Simon Smart

Simon Smart is the Executive Director of the Centre for Public Christianity (CPX), has a Masters in Christian Studies, and hosts the Life & Faith podcast. His work has been featured in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The ABC, The Australian, and The Guardian.

 

Tony Rinaudo

Tony Rinaudo, an Australian agronomist, pioneered Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR), a simple method of restoring degraded land without planting trees. His work in Niger restored over six million hectares, boosting farmers' crop yields and income.
